人权捍卫者刘沙沙10月14日遭行政拘留5天今日出狱 Oct 21st 2013, 03:13, by wqw0 （维权网信息员张兵报道）大陆著名人权捍卫者刘沙沙女士长期从事维权活动，经常受到当局的打压迫害。近日，2013年10月14日，河南省南阳油田公安局直属分局又以刘沙沙于2013年7月1日在twitter网上，所发关于当时新疆和田事件的帖子为由，将其行政拘留5天。刘沙沙在推特上的帖子是这样写的："警方于周五28日向数百正在抗议的维吾尔人开枪，造成多大15人死亡，50多人受伤。" 刘沙沙于今天（2013年10月19日星期六）出狱。刘沙沙对此指控十分气愤，她表示："内容里的伤亡数据是和田当局也证实了的。" 目前，中共当局妄图以打击谣言的方式，封杀民间舆论对它的抨击和维权运动的发展，而以传播谣言为罪名，对人权捍卫者刘沙沙的行政拘留，是当局继续以各种借口肆意镇压维权运动的有一例证。
