湖南临湘在押人员遭酷刑致残 Feb 25th 2014, 02:02, by wqw0 （维权网信息员林茹报道）本网信息员今天（2014年2月24日）听到湖南省临湘市羊楼司镇尖山村插坊组村民余阳投诉，说自己因被污偷窃而遭到警方拘押，在审讯中警方对自己实施酷刑，致自己右耳被打聋。 余阳（男，35岁，汉族）跟本网信息员说，2013年7月，他因被诬陷偷东西被临湘市公安局拘捕，由于公安没有证据，警方就采用毒打、灌辣椒水的野蛮手段进行刑讯逼供，他多次被打得呕吐不止和昏死过去，他的右耳打聋，造成终身残废，脑袋在墙上被撞之后，现在仍昏昏沉沉。余阳最后说，自己被非法关押104天。
